Here we go again - another episode of mean girls (which, in my humble opinion is really getting overdone lately). I just finished reading this book, and I'd like to add that the chapters in Italics were indeed confusing at first, but when Sam confesses everything to Louise, he mentions his wife (at the moment), Catherine.

The book does look interesting, I would like to devote more to reading, I m a volunteer to help students/pupils in school troubles in my village, and more with all the animals that I occupy at home, I have very little left of time for myself, however with your articles I can discover new books. From the first I had a theory and I was sure that I know what’s happening but when I was reading more and more, I got more confused and at the end I found out that how wrong I was! After two pretty heavy-going books – The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, which I really enjoyed, and Macbeth, which I didn’t, I was ready to get back to my happy place. This one caught my attention when I saw it because there was something fascinating about the title and synopsis. This is a good debut thriller: full of tension and successfully exploring modern concerns around social networking and bullying while fully embedding them in the plot. It reminds me why I decided to delete my personal account, the idea of people you barely know getting such a personal glimpse into your inner sanctum and keeping in contact with everyone you ever met from high school days seems an odd thing and the perfect basis for a revenge style vendetta so I did quite enjoy the storyline.

This started off really creepily and had me flipping the pages on my device so quickly I couldn’t get enough of it. Maybe that had been the problem all along; Maria Weston had wanted to be friends with me, but I let her down. Details are gradually revealed, so at first you have no idea of the back-story or the significance of this friend request, but you learn things little by little. She's having a tough time after her divorce and now the 'friend request' threatens to unearth a 25 year old secret, that could change her life, along with the friends who also share that secret. In 1989, Maria transfers to Louise's school in the late senior years, and initially Louise finds her a refreshing change. Yet all the time, in the back of my mind, this one unforgivable act has loomed - squashed, squeezed, parcelled, but always there". While this isn't a book I would reread, I would definitely check out more from this author in the future. Even though this book wasn't particularly long, it took forEVER to read because so much of it was build-up (and the pay-off really wasn't as satisfying as it could have been).
