I have recently changed providers and my family and I were getting frustrated with the box that the provider sent us as it kept dropping the connection. A spokesman for AVM told us that this was due to technical restrictions imposed by Apple itself, but we’ve seen plenty of other routers that were able to include those features in their iOS apps. It also hasn't slowed my connection speed down at all really (like 10-20mb/s loss on download on a 330mb/s connection without). It's all very much pot luck really if that improves the signal or not, and the same if a new one will. What I am looking forward to now is setting up a mesh system with other Fritz products, which is a handy option with this system.
