Most Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs tend to be stored in garages or sheds and we advise that you keep it off the ground, such as on a wooden pallet, as a barrier from the floor to protect it from spillages, flooding or mice trying to burrow inside it. Make sure it is well protected from damp. Never use unlabelled chemicals and please read the instructions before use. Avoid getting chemicals in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Avoid breathing vapours when opening a container. Avoid creation of dust. Never add water to the product. Always add product to large quantities of water. Use separate clean dry utensils for each chemical and clean after use. Do not add the product to any dispensing device containing residuals of other products. To drain the water from your Lay‑Z‑Spa, screw on the hose pipe adapter to the bottom outlet pipe and attach a hose. Direct your hose into a drain and remove the bottom stopper cap inside the liner to let the water flow out. Once the water level is below the bottom outlet pipe, attach the hosepipe and hosepipe adapter to the drainpipe that comes from underneath your Lay-Z-Spa and lift up the drain plug inside the bottom of the liner. You may need to tilt your liner to get every last bit of water out or flip it upside down. If you need to, refer to your Lay-Z-Spa manual for drainage guidance. Please note: you can simply unscrew and remove the inflation valve to let the air out but you will need to manually press out more air at the end. Fold your Lay-Z-Spa liner The outer liner is dark blue, and the inner liner is a lighter blue. That lighter colour looks bright and clean but is still off-white enough to disguise any mild cleaning that might need done between uses. The Hawaii Airjet Pump The amount of pH increaser or decreaser you need to add to your hot tub depends on the volume of water and how low your readings are. Refer to the dosage information will be printed on the individual chemical bottles.Clearwater Clarifier contains flocculants which bind small particles of debris and algae together so that your Lay-Z-Spa filtration system can adequately remove them, resulting in clean and sparkly water. This is a very effective way of preventing your spa water from looking dull and cloudy, due to the build-up of dead algae and debris that is too small to be trapped by your filter. Even if you have treated your spa for algae using Clearwater Algaecide, it is recommended that you use the Water Clarifier to remove any residual debris.
Chlorine is a sanitiser that controls and prevents bacteria growth and is essential for the hot tub water to be clean and safe to use. The recommended Free Chlorine* level in a hot tub is 3-5ppm (parts per million).
